Free courses from MAiD in Canada

We’re pleased to offer free educational courses for anyone who wants to better understand medical assistance in dying in Canada.

Our first course, MAiD in Canada - An Introduction, is now live. It is an introductory course designed for members of the public, healthcare professionals, and anyone looking for a clear, evidence-informed overview of how MAiD works in Canada.

How registration works

At this time, our learning platform allows us to have up to 100 active learners at once.

To take the course, please complete the registration form below for the month in which you would like to participate. At the beginning of that month, we will email you to let you know that your course access is open and provide your login information and password.

Once all available spaces for a particular month have been filled, we will mark that intake as full.

We will also maintain a small waiting list. Occasionally, spaces become available when someone completes the course earlier than expected or is no longer able to participate, and we may be able to offer those spaces to people on the waiting list.

There is no charge to take the course.

We believe accurate, accessible education about MAiD should be available to anyone who wants it, regardless of their ability to pay.

Creating and maintaining these courses does, however, involve ongoing costs. If you find the course valuable and would like to support our ability to continue offering free education and developing new resources, voluntary contributions are always appreciated.

Payment or donation is never required to access the course.

Organizations

If your organization would like to arrange group access for employees, students, volunteers, or other participants, please contact us at maidincanada2016@outlook.com.

We can work with you to simplify the registration process and arrange access for your group without requiring each participant to register individually through the monthly sign-up form.
